How to change your life and everyone in it.

One time I bought this book that I was SO excited to read. It was called something like “How to change your life and everyone in it, in 30 days or less”.

I was thinking that finally I would get all these people around me to act right, and be nice, and treat everyone fairly!

Finally I could teach them all how to not be so scared about every part of life! And how to not be mean to everyone around them! I was going to learn how to teach them ALL.....!!!!

The book was great, even brilliant. It taught me none of what I thought I’d learn though.

That book taught me that you teach people how to treat you. That people respond to the way you behave toward them. And that if you change the way YOU act, the way YOU respond, the way YOU react, and the way that YOU perceive their behavior...that you will effectively change your relationships with every person around you. Wow! So not what I thought I was going to learn!!!

The biggest thing I learned though is that I only can control ME. I only can fix ME. And the only way to control anyone else’s behavior is to learn to control >MY OWN<.

That book was actually great and taught me a lot, and I highly recommend it.

All of those great lessons helped change my entire perspective on life and helped to mold me into the better version of me that I am now.☼
